ACDelco GM Original Equipment Vapor Canister Purge Valve Pipes are designed, engineered, and tested to rigorous standards, and are backed by General Motors. The Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP) contains fuel system vapors from being released into the atmosphere. The purge valve is an electrically operated solenoid that is open when the engine is running and closes when the engine is turned off which allows fuel vapors to move through the vapor canister and then be consumed by the engine.
